Thank you for joining our webinar in September with John Mathewson, Kyo Logic, LLC as he discussed: Implementing User-Centered Applications with Reusable Code. In this age of simplified user-interfaces, he discussed how to design applications with a keen focus on the end-user. John also discussed techniques for applying reusable code so that the development process is efficient and has high return on investment.

The session reviewed how to gather system requirements and how to combine these with tested design patterns to build applications of value to end-users. This session followed up on two earlier FM Academy sessions, FileMaker 12 Layout Mode Enhancements and Building a Powerful Business Solution on a Budget that delved into similar topics.

This webinar discussed:

  • how to know what a user really wants
  •  designing around purpose and workflow
  • using design patterns to make code modular and reusable
  • testing your application to make sure it delivers what you intended
